Infertility Services
CAN is pleased to offer financial assistance to those young adults who are considering infertility assistance. CAN offers a $3,000 stipend to qualified young adult cancer patients engaging in egg-harvesting procedures. The stipend is designed to help offset some of the medical costs associated with in-vitro fertilization (IVF) techniques. The stipend may be used to cover office visits, hospital care, vaginal sonograms, and related expenses. The stipend is not intended to cover the cost of fertility drugs, as Fertile Hope (www.fertilehope.org) may be able to provide you with assistance in this area.
To be eligible for the stipend, you must meet all of the following conditions:
- Individual must be between the ages of 18-40 and a resident of Travis, Williamson, Bastrop, Hays, or Caldwell counties, in the state of Texas.
- Individual must be referred to a local fertility specialist to discuss infertility options due to cancer related illness or treatment.
- The cancer diagnosis must present a clear risk of infertility or sterilization, and all associated medical records must be submitted.
- Individual must meet the financial eligibility requirements stated in the application.
- Individual must be willing to share their story with CAN, and allow their story to possibly be posted on the CAN website.
Stipends are awarded twice in each fiscal year. It may be possible that an applicant does NOT receive their award until after the IVF procedures take place. For more information, please call CAN at 512-577-7817.
****NOTE: We are not accepting applications at this time. Please check back soon for more information and the official application for financial assistance.
